Clarity Starts with Understanding

The questions below cover how I work, who I work with, what to expect, and the thinking behind my approach.

Getting Started

You can start in one of three ways:

  • 1:1 Business Strategy & Direction if you need clarity on priorities, decisions, opportunities, or future direction.
  • 1:1 Business Problem-Solving if you’re trying to understand and address a complex challenge.
  • A structured programme if you want a guided learning journey with facilitation, practical application, and capability development. The first programme currently available is the Business Foundations Journey.

If you’re unsure which pathway is the best fit, you’re welcome to book a complimentary 15-minute Clarity Call.

The complimentary 15-minute Clarity Call is a short WhatsApp conversation designed to help determine whether one of the available pathways is a good fit for your situation.

It is not a consulting, advisory, or problem-solving session. Its purpose is simply to identify the most appropriate next step.

Depending on your situation, the next step may be a 1:1 Business Strategy & Direction session, a 1:1 Business Problem-Solving engagement, participation in a programme such as the Business Foundations Journey, or a recommendation that another type of support may be more appropriate.

The purpose of the call is not to provide answers. It is to determine the most appropriate next step.

Yes. If you already know which facilitation service best suits your needs, you can enquire or book directly through the relevant page.

Programmes operate on a cohort basis and require a minimum number of participants before a cohort is confirmed.

You can register your interest at any time. Once sufficient interest has been received and programme dates have been finalised, participants will be invited to complete their registration and payment.

Programme spaces may be limited to support meaningful participation and engagement.

Yes. Programmes can be delivered to dedicated groups, teams, institutions, and communities where sufficient participants are available.

If you already have a group interested in participating, please get in touch to discuss a dedicated cohort and delivery options.

Business Strategy & Direction helps you step back and see the bigger picture.

The focus is on understanding your current situation, exploring opportunities and constraints, identifying what matters most, and creating clarity around future decisions. Sometimes the challenge you’re facing is not the real issue. It may simply be highlighting something larger that needs attention.

Business Problem-Solving takes the opposite approach.

Instead of stepping back, we go deeper. The focus is on understanding a specific challenge, exploring what is happening beneath the surface, identifying contributing factors, and uncovering the root causes that may be preventing progress.

Because problem-solving requires deeper investigation, analysis, and exploration, these sessions are typically longer than Strategy & Direction sessions.

In simple terms:

  • Business Strategy & Direction: Zoom out to understand the bigger picture.
  • Business Problem-Solving: Zoom in to understand the details behind a specific challenge.

One helps you decide where to go next. The other helps you understand what is standing in the way.

That depends on what you’re trying to achieve.

Some situations benefit from a single session to create clarity and determine the next step. Others require deeper exploration, particularly when working through complex challenges, understanding root causes, or evaluating multiple options.

The focus is not on selling a predetermined number of sessions. It’s on creating enough understanding to help you move forward with confidence.

If additional support would be valuable, we’ll discuss it. If not, one session may be all that’s needed.

Sessions are booked in advance and confirmed once payment has been received. Details regarding scheduling, payment, and session access are provided during the booking process.

Working With Me

I work with aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals, facilitators, and small teams who are looking to create clarity, make informed decisions, solve complex challenges, or strengthen their foundations before moving forward.

While the situations may differ, most people come to me because they want a deeper understanding of what is happening before deciding what to do next.

No. Many people come to me with an idea rather than an established business. However, building a successful business requires more than a good idea. It requires understanding, commitment, critical thinking, and resources.

My role is not to provide shortcuts or guarantees of success. My role is to help you build understanding, challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and make more informed decisions before committing significant time, money, or effort.

Whether you’re exploring an idea or growing an existing business, the goal is the same: to build strong foundations before moving into implementation.

Business Facilitation is a structured process that helps individuals and teams think through situations, explore challenges, identify opportunities, and make more informed decisions.

Rather than providing answers, facilitation creates space for reflection, discussion, critical thinking, and exploration so that better answers can emerge.

Consultants are typically engaged to provide recommendations, solutions, or expert advice.

Facilitation starts from a different place. The focus is on understanding the situation, exploring assumptions, identifying gaps and connections, and helping people think through their own decisions.

I don’t tell people what to do. I help them understand the situation more clearly so they can decide what to do.

My background in Lean Six Sigma, Process Excellence, and complex operational environments trained me to recognise patterns, understand cause-and-effect relationships, and identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies that may not be immediately visible.

Rather than jumping straight to solutions, I focus on understanding the situation first.

This helps uncover assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and opportunities before significant time, money, and effort are committed.

My role is not to provide ready-made answers. My role is to help people think more clearly, make more informed decisions, and build stronger foundations for what comes next.

My approach is best suited to people who are willing to think, learn, explore alternatives, and actively participate in the process. I provide structure, challenge assumptions, and help create clarity, but I don’t provide quick fixes or make decisions on behalf of others.

If you’re looking for a collaborative thinking partner rather than someone to simply tell you what to do, we’ll likely work well together.

That’s completely normal.

Many people know something isn’t working as expected but struggle to identify the real issue. In other cases, what appears to be the problem is simply a symptom of something deeper.

Part of the facilitation process involves exploring the situation, creating clarity, and understanding what is actually happening before deciding what action to take.

My approach is highly collaborative.

Whether you’re participating in a facilitation session or a programme, you should expect to actively engage in thinking, learning, reflection, and decision-making.

I provide structure, guidance, and challenge assumptions where appropriate, but I don’t make decisions on your behalf or do the work for you.

The best results come from active participation and a willingness to explore perspectives, ideas, and possibilities.

Yes. I use AI selectively to support research, structured thinking, learning, analysis, and capability development where it adds value.

AI is a tool, not a replacement for human judgement. Decisions, context, and critical thinking remain central to every engagement.

Yes. You do not need prior AI experience to work with me.

Many professionals and business owners have strong business, industry, or operational knowledge but have not yet explored how AI can support their work. Where appropriate, I can incorporate practical AI guidance into facilitation sessions and programmes.

This may include:

  • Understanding how AI can support research and information gathering
  • Learning how to write more effective prompts
  • Using AI to explore ideas, opportunities, and alternatives
  • Applying AI to support critical thinking and decision-making
  • Understanding the strengths and limitations of AI

The goal is not simply to use AI, but to use it effectively. Human judgement, experience, and expertise remain essential. AI is most valuable when it helps you learn faster, think more broadly, and make more informed decisions.

Lean Six Sigma & Process Excellence

Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is a structured approach to understanding, designing, improving, and sustaining better outcomes. It combines Lean principles, which focus on reducing waste and improving flow, with Six Sigma principles, which focus on quality, consistency, and reducing variation.

Lean Six Sigma originated in large organisations that needed better ways to design products, improve processes, solve problems, and deliver consistent results at scale. As a result, many people outside corporate, operational, and quality-focused environments may never have been exposed to it directly.

At its core, however, Lean Six Sigma is simply a way of thinking. It helps people make more informed decisions, build stronger foundations, solve problems, and create sustainable improvements over time.

Many challenges arise when foundations are weak, fragmented, or no longer aligned. Decisions become harder, problems become recurring, and growth becomes difficult to sustain.

Lean Six Sigma provides a structured way to understand situations, strengthen foundations, and improve outcomes by focusing on facts, evidence, and the underlying causes of challenges rather than assumptions or quick fixes.

Lean Six Sigma has influenced how I think, approach challenges, and make decisions.

It trained me to look beyond symptoms, understand relationships between causes and effects, identify patterns, and explore what may be happening beneath the surface.

Whether I’m helping someone design a business, solve a problem, develop a strategy, or evaluate an opportunity, the goal is the same: create enough understanding to make informed decisions before committing significant time, money, or resources.

While the tools and methodologies may vary, the underlying principles of structured thinking, evidence-based decision-making, and continuous learning remain central to my approach.

Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) is a methodology used to build strong foundations before implementation begins.

The focus is on understanding requirements, exploring possibilities, assessing risks, and making informed decisions early in the process. Rather than solving problems after they occur, DFSS aims to design quality, effectiveness, and sustainability into the foundation from the start.

In my work, DFSS is often reflected in Business Strategy & Direction engagements, where the goal is to create clarity around future decisions, opportunities, and direction before taking action. It is also reflected in programmes such as the Business Foundations Journey, where participants are guided through a structured process to explore, design, and strengthen the foundations of their business before committing significant time, money, or resources.

The objective is the same: to build a stronger foundation before moving into implementation.

DMAIC stands for Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, and Control.

It is a structured improvement methodology used to understand and strengthen foundations that already exist. The focus is on identifying root causes, improving performance, and creating sustainable solutions based on evidence rather than assumptions.

In my work, DMAIC is most often reflected in Business Problem-Solving engagements, where the goal is to understand why a challenge exists, explore contributing factors, identify underlying causes, and determine where action is likely to have the greatest impact.

Rather than jumping straight to solutions, the focus is on creating enough understanding to make informed decisions and improve outcomes over time.

The way Lean Six Sigma is applied depends on the situation.

When the focus is on building something new, creating direction, or strengthening foundations before implementation, I apply a Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) mindset.

When the focus is on understanding and improving something that already exists, I apply a DMAIC mindset to explore root causes, identify gaps, and improve outcomes.

Put simply:

  • Strategy & Direction helps you zoom out and see the bigger picture.
  • Business Problem-Solving helps you zoom in and understand what’s happening beneath the surface.

The goal is always the same: create enough understanding to make informed decisions before committing further time, money, or resources.

AI can support Lean Six Sigma by accelerating research, analysis, learning, and structured thinking.

When building strong foundations (DFSS), AI can help explore options, gather information, identify requirements, and evaluate possibilities.

When solving existing challenges (DMAIC), AI can help identify patterns, analyse information, explore possible causes, and support problem-solving discussions.

AI does not replace human judgement or decision-making. It serves as a tool to help individuals and teams learn faster, think more broadly, and make more informed decisions.

EnablU & Yugro

EnablU is a technology and education company focused on helping people learn, grow, and apply knowledge through Human-Led, AI-Amplified Learning.

The goal is to combine structured learning, facilitation, and technology to make critical thinking, problem-solving, and capability development more accessible.

Yugro is the first product developed within EnablU.

It is an AI mentor designed to facilitate structured thinking through guided questions rather than simply providing answers. Yugro helps individuals explore ideas, make decisions, build business foundations, and develop a deeper understanding of what they are trying to achieve.

Human-Led, AI-Amplified Learning combines human guidance, structured learning, and AI support to create a more active learning experience.

Rather than replacing people, AI is used to help learners explore ideas, ask better questions, identify knowledge gaps, and apply learning more effectively.

The goal is to strengthen human thinking, not replace it.

EnablU is the company.

Yugro is its first product.

Together, they support the broader mission of helping people develop skills, confidence, critical thinking, and practical capability through structured learning and AI-supported facilitation.

The same principles that influence my facilitation and learning programmes also influence EnablU and Yugro.

My work is built around helping people create clarity, challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and make informed decisions. EnablU and Yugro apply these principles through technology, while my facilitation and programmes apply them through guided human interaction.

No. Yugro is designed to support learning, reflection, research, and structured thinking. While it can help people explore ideas and develop understanding, human facilitation remains valuable for context, discussion, collaboration, and navigating complex situations.

The two can complement one another, but they serve different purposes.
